Ruth qualified in 1982 and in 1986 became a partner heading the litigation department in a large central London practice undertaking both private client and commercial litigation. She has acted in many high profile and complex cases often with an international dimension. Ruth has specialised in family law since 1990, when she also trained as a mediator. She has since trained as a collaborative lawyer. From 1991-1993 she headed the family law department of a central London firm, and left there to set up a niche family law practice, which later merged to create Bross Bennett LLP. She deals with complex financial and multi jurisdictional cases, many involving children and has particular expertise in cases involving leave to remove children from the jurisdiction.
